MIAMI (AP) -- L'ancien sprinter Larry Black, médaillé d'or et d'argent aux Jeux olympiques de Munich en 1972, est mort, a annoncé son épouse. Il était âgé de 54 ans.
Black est décédé mercredi d'un anévrisme, a précisé Cherese Black.
Aux Jeux de Munich, Black avait remporté la médaille d'or avec le relais américain 4x100m. Il avait également obtenu l'argent sur 200 mètres, en 20.19 secondes.

Lawrence "Larry" J. Black (born July 20, 1951 - died 8 February 2006) was an American athlete, winner of gold medal in 4x100 m relay and silver medal in the 200 m at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.
Born in Miami, Florida, Larry Black won, as a North Carolina Central University student, the NCAA 220 yd championships in 1971.
At the 1972 Olympics, Black ran the opening leg in the American 4x100 m relay team. The team won a gold medal and equalled the United States' own world record of 38.19 seconds.
